Great Nutrition

  1. Chew your food well. Digestion starts in your mouth, especially carbohydrates.
  2. Eliminate soda, tobacco, fried and processed food, refined sugars and flour. Try for one week and you will feel an immediate difference!
  3. Eat plenty of fruits, veggies, whole grains (Quinoa, Amaranth, millet, Teff) and fermented foods (like yogurt, Kefir, cultured veggies and saurkraut).
  4. Keep mealtimes positive and happy! If you’re stressed, upset or angry… do not eat during those times.
  5.  Drink 1/2 of your body weight in ounces. For example, if you weigh 150lbs, drink 75 ounces of water daily.
  6. Eat proper food combinations:
    • Fruit by itself
    • Melons alone (even away from other types of fruits and even other melons!)
    • Don’t mix proteins and carbohydrates, proteins do not mix well with fats and oils
      • Meat and potatoes = Bad Digestion
      • Meat and steamed broccoli = Good Digestion
      • Rice with chicken = Bad Digestion           
      • Rice with salad = Good Digestion
    • Dairy products alone
